About the position

The position is within the Taxpayer Services Division of the IRS, focusing on workload distribution, employee training, and performance monitoring. The role involves ensuring equitable workload distribution among employees, providing instruction, and resolving complaints, while also performing administrative duties in the absence of the manager.

Responsibilities

• Distributes, balances, monitors, and reports on workload according to established workflow or job specialization.
• Assures equitable distribution of workload among employees and timely accomplishment of assigned tasks.
• Amends or rejects work not meeting established standards and refers issues to the supervisor.
• Maintains current knowledge of procedures, policies, and directives; answers questions and provides training to employees.
• Resolves simple informal complaints and reports on performance, progress, and training needs of employees.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience at the GS-6 level in the Federal service, including experience with business tax law and IRS collection techniques.
• Experience in communicating specialized information to internal and external customers regarding inventory management procedures.
• Experience processing IMF Rejects and IMF RAW.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a supervisory role or managing a team.
