About the position

The Infant Lead Teacher at Cadence Academy Preschool is responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for infants. This role involves collaborating with a team of educators to implement a research-based curriculum while ensuring the safety and developmental needs of the children are met. The position emphasizes communication with parents about their child's progress and milestones, fostering a positive atmosphere for both children and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage a positive learning environment for all children within the center.
  • Document and share important milestones in a child's day with parents.
  • Collaborate with other preschool teachers to implement an engaging curriculum.
  • Respect and observe children's interests and intervene to maintain safety when needed.
  • Enhance children's play with language, toys, and activities.
  • Encourage and model developmentally appropriate social behavior and expectations.
  • Plan a daily schedule that balances various activities such as quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, and fine/gross motor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must meet all state preschool lead teacher requirements.
  • Previous experience as an Infant teacher.
  • High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or college degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field.
  • Previous experience as a preschool lead teacher required.
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills preferred.

  • Experience in early childhood education or daycare settings.
  • Strong communication skills with parents and staff.
