About the position

The Infant Lead Teacher at Next Generation Children's Center is responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for infants. This role involves collaborating with a team of educators to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum while ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. The position requires a passion for child development and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with children and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage a positive learning environment for all children within the center.
  • Document and share important milestones in a child's day with parents.
  • Collaborate with other preschool teachers to implement an engaging curriculum.
  • Respect and observe children's interests, intervening when necessary to maintain safety.
  • Enhance children's play with language, toys, and activities.
  • Encourage and model developmentally appropriate social behavior and expectations.
  • Plan a daily schedule that balances various activities, including quiet/active and indoor/outdoor play.

Requirements

  • Must meet all state preschool lead teacher requirements.
  • EEC Certification needed.
  • Previous experience as a preschool lead teacher required.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or college degree in Early Childhood or Child Development preferred.
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours.

Nice-to-haves
