About the position

The Infant Lead Teacher at Cadence Academy Preschool is responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for infants. This role involves collaborating with a team of educators to implement a research-based curriculum that supports child development. The position emphasizes open communication with parents and staff, ensuring that each child's milestones are documented and shared. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive atmosphere for both children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage a positive learning environment for all children within the center.
  • Document and share with parents the important milestones in a child's day.
  • Collaborate with other preschool teachers and leaders to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Respect and observe children's interests, intervening when needed to maintain safety.
  • Enhance children's play with language, toys, and activities.
  • Encourage and model developmentally appropriate social behavior and expectations.
  • Share ideas in planning a daily schedule that balances various activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must meet all state preschool lead teacher requirements.
  • Previous experience as an Infant teacher.
  • High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or college degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field.
  • Previous experience as a preschool lead teacher required.
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in daycare or early childhood education.
  • Strong communication skills.
