About the position

The Lead, Tech Risk Management role at Prudential is focused on enhancing the organization's privacy program within the Global Technology team. This position involves collaborating with various functional areas to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, and embedding privacy considerations into technology operations and services. The role emphasizes innovative approaches to privacy, including automation and Agile methodologies, while also serving as a liaison between multiple departments to advocate for privacy-enhancing technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate adherence to the company's Privacy Program and local privacy requirements.
  • Perform first line of defense privacy activities and promote Privacy by Design in technology implementations.
  • Embed privacy into Agile methodology during the design and development of technology products and services.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security Advisors, and Governance teams to advocate for Privacy Enhancing Technology.
  • Develop privacy-preserving solutions in collaboration with Data Science teams using anonymization techniques.
  • Research and advocate for methods to embed privacy through self-service and automation.
  • Lead and conduct Privacy Impact Assessments with stakeholders to assess privacy risks.
  • Maintain the Privacy inventory and data mappings for personal information usage.
  • Enable teams to identify and remediate privacy incidents in a timely manner.
  • Report on privacy incidents and operational risk events, driving issues to closure.
  • Utilize educational tools to reinforce strong privacy protection practices within teams.
  • Drive the evolving privacy program and educate stakeholders on privacy compliance risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Security, Artificial Intelligence or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience in leading and executing technology initiatives across an enterprise.
  • Ability to apply visionary thinking to streamline and embed privacy within technology products.
  • Technical expertise in IT processes, Cloud, Cyber Security, Agile methodology, and Privacy.
  • Understanding of privacy controls and industry standards related to data protection.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to influence business leaders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent project management skills.
