The Lead Tech Supply Chain plays a crucial role in maintaining the inventory and organization of supply stock locations within Mercy Health. This position is responsible for receiving and delivering shipments, supplies, and equipment throughout the site. The Lead Tech will review and adjust team assignments, build orders for replenishment stock, and ensure that replenishment stock is delivered and properly stored in assigned departments. Additionally, the Lead Tech resolves any discrepancies related to inventory and purchase orders (POs), leads stock inventories, cycle counts, and conversion tasks, and disinfects, stores, and delivers moveable medical equipment. The role also involves maintaining inventory, monitoring expiration dates, and ensuring the proper design of clinical and specialty carts and trays. Furthermore, the Lead Tech is responsible for onboarding new associates and mentoring less experienced team members. Essential job functions include maintaining the orderliness of assigned medical supply stock locations, ensuring that supplies are adequately stocked, clean, and easily accessible. The Lead Tech will monitor stock usage rates, notify leaders when par levels are inadequate, and adjust delivery routes and assignments as necessary. The position requires resolving inventory discrepancies, maintaining storerooms to meet Joint Commission (TJC) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) standards, and researching purchase order statuses. The Lead Tech will also analyze item utilization, participate in cycle counts, and reconstitute critical care and specialty carts and trays, ensuring that tray contents are within expiration dates. The role may involve transporting equipment, supplies, specimens, and mail to various locations based on customer needs, as well as safely transporting medical gases between storage locations. The Lead Tech will perform as a site receiving agent for both PO and non-PO shipments and participate in performance improvement activities as directed by supervisors. This position serves as a backup to the coordinator and supervisor when necessary.
