Responsibilities

  • Represent WKH-Clinical Solutions positively and professionally.
  • Evaluate and interpret scientific literature and other evidence using clinical experience.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise through continuous learning and review of relevant literature.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with drug therapy and clinical decision support.
  • Perform ongoing clinical data analysis and quality control for proprietary drug content.
  • Document and report data omissions or errors and unexpected results from clinical decision support software.
  • Engage in collaborative peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Anticipate problems and identify creative solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement policies based on clinical knowledge and expertise.
  • Achieve productivity by meeting departmental and individual goals.
  • Maintain professional relationships and share expertise across the organization.
  • Act as a leader within the organization and assist in cross-education among teams.
  • Participate in new product development and provide clinical input for product design.
  • Provide customer support and respond to queries regarding clinical content issues.
  • Collaborate in the development of testing scenarios during the product development cycle.
  • May assist in training pharmacy students and residents.
  • Cultivate relationships with authors and consultants to improve content.

Requirements

  • PharmD or BSPharm with significant clinical practice experience or other advanced clinical degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience as a pharmacist.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing or analyzing Clinical Decision Support data and applications or clinical informatics.
  • Pharmacy License in good standing from any U.S. State (for pharmacists).
  • Extensive knowledge of the clinical/content area of responsibility.
  • Strong critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheet use.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced literature evaluation skills and/or advanced data analytic and clinical decision support skills.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with ontologies and standardized vocabularies such as RxNorm, SNOMED CT, ICD10, LOINC.
  • Certification or fellowship in clinical informatics.
  • Experience with CDS Hooks, SMART, and FHIR standards.
