About the position
Walmart is seeking a dedicated Lead Technician for Facility Services, specifically in Exterior Services. This role involves leading a team of exterior service technicians to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction. The Lead Technician will utilize their expertise in commercial landscape management and exterior maintenance to maintain safe and clean environments for customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of exterior service technicians to deliver exceptional service.
- Ensure compliance with safety practices and company policies.
- Perform landscaping tasks including grass cutting, weed management, and pest management.
- Utilize technology for work order management and record-keeping.
- Provide on-the-job training for team members on processes and equipment usage.
- Maintain exterior spaces through irrigation, pressure washing, and general maintenance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial landscaping or exterior building maintenance.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to train team members.
- Proficiency in using technology for work order management.
- Knowledge of landscaping tasks and techniques, including pest management.
- Strong customer service orientation and troubleshooting skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid, state-issued driver's license.
Nice-to-haves
- Associate's degree in horticulture or related area.
- Certified nursery and/or landscape professional certification.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience as a landscaping/gardening crew leader or supervisor.
- Proficiency in Spanish.
- State/local licensing where required.
