About The Position

The Lead Teller position at Capital City Bank is an entry-level supervisory role responsible for managing Teller associates and ensuring the efficient operation of the Teller area. The Lead Teller provides leadership in delivering exceptional client experiences, motivates the team to achieve goals, and collaborates with management to enhance service and sales performance. This role includes training new Tellers, maintaining performance standards, and handling client complaints, all while adhering to bank policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years supervisory experience or 1 year management experience preferred.
• Effective management and supervisory practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and associates.
• Demonstrable sales experience.
• Basic math skills and ability to use business machines and computers.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a banking environment.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Tellers and exemplify excellent client service.
• Train new Tellers and provide ongoing training on bank policies and procedures.
• Coach and mentor team members using performance management tools.
• Assist in performance management and new hire selection with the Client Experience Manager.
• Maintain Teller performance standards and investigate discrepancies in cash handling.
• Support the Teller line in resolving escalated client complaints.
• Identify client needs and provide solutions while coaching Tellers on the same.
• Conduct performance reviews for Tellers and make salary recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with cash targets and perform cash duties as required.
• Perform all principal duties of a Teller as needed.
