About the position
The Lead Teller at North Shore Bank is responsible for coordinating branch operations, performing administrative duties, and providing exceptional customer service. This role includes supervising staff in the absence of the Branch Manager and actively cross-selling bank products and services. The Lead Teller ensures adherence to operational and security procedures while fostering a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate operational changes and updates with the Branch Manager and communicate them to branch personnel.
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring adherence to customer service standards.
- Answer customer inquiries and maintain good customer relations, directing complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Handle complex inquiries from tellers and customers regarding bank policies and procedures, researching and resolving issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating and security procedures, providing guidance and training to branch personnel.
- Safeguard bank assets by adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Open and close the branch as required.
- Schedule staff appropriately to meet operational needs.
- Provide performance feedback to the Branch Manager regarding teller staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of bank-related operational support experience.
- Demonstrated customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of financial concepts.
- Previous teller experience preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
