About the position

The Lead Teller position at TexasBank is responsible for efficiently processing a variety of financial transactions while providing exceptional customer service. This role includes overseeing and supporting other tellers, ensuring compliance with banking procedures, and maintaining accurate cash management. The Lead Teller plays a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently perform over-the-counter and drive-through transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, and payments.
  • Process all transactions through the teller terminal with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Manage night depository and mail deposit transactions, ensuring prompt and secure handling.
  • Maintain accurate records and securely manage all cash entrusted to your custody, conducting regular cash counts and reconciliations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all customer inquiries, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the bank's products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in alignment with the bank's Customer Service Standards.
  • Adhere to all company rules, regulations, and safety procedures to maintain a secure banking environment.
  • Oversee the vault cash balance, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Perform regular balancing of the ATM and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Complete and review Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) as required for compliance.
  • Provide oversight and training to Tellers, assisting with complex tasks and transactions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in a banking or financial services role, particularly in teller or cashier functions.
  • Strong math and grammar skills for effective communication and calculations.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in handling over-the-counter transactions and performing data entry.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet stringent deadlines while maintaining high customer service levels.
