About the position
The Idaho Youth Ranch is one of the oldest non-profit agencies in Idaho, dedicated to providing accessible programs and services that nurture hope, healing, and resilience for the youth of Idaho. As a Lead Thrift Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in the management of our thrift store operations, which directly contribute to funding our programs and services. This position is not just about selling donated items; it’s about making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people in our community. You will be part of a team that values relationships, commitment to the mission, growth, compassion, transparency, and joy. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the thrift store, including opening and closing procedures, compiling daily sales reports, and making bank deposits. You will also serve as a leader within the store, providing training and direction to other employees. Your strong customer service skills will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for our customers, ensuring they have a positive shopping experience. Additionally, you will be expected to work weekends as needed, contributing to the overall success of the store and the mission of the Idaho Youth Ranch.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Idaho Youth Ranch in a professional manner.
- Perform functions related to the daily opening, operation, and closing of the store.
- Compile daily sales and make bank deposits.
- Serve as a leader by providing training and directing the store employees.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in High School or possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Strong customer service skills.
