About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Treasury Analyst to support balance sheet and earnings at risk forecasting, reporting, and analytics. This role involves managing the bank's balance sheet, ensuring sufficient capital and liquidity resources, and providing key information for risk management and strategic planning. The Lead Treasury Analyst will be responsible for complex modeling, analytics, and reporting for senior management, while also mentoring junior analysts and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on product, market segment, and competitive environment.
  • Conduct complex modeling and analytics on treasury finance metrics.
  • Develop and execute reporting for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with treasury risk management regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to generate ad hoc analyses supporting strategy decisions.
  • Ensure data quality and establish controlled processes.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management, and regulatory agencies.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts to foster professional development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Treasury experience or equivalent work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or financial discipline.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with financial forecasting activities in various scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of financial institution balance sheet construction and key risk areas.
  • Experience with bank regulations, particularly interest rate risk management.
  • Experience executing financial analytics processes with high governance expectations.
  • Experience analyzing, valuing, and forecasting fixed income securities, mortgage products, and interest rate swaps.
  • Experience with model risk governance and/or model validation in the financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, PowerBI, and third-party systems.
