About the position

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior UI Lead to develop innovative cloud-based software solutions for a diverse global clientele. This role emphasizes collaboration within a geographically distributed team, focusing on modernizing business applications through expert UI development and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX Design Lead and Product Engineering Leads to ensure UX implementation aligns with product needs and UX standards.
• Lead frontend development with expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, and Node.js.
• Understand the impact of UI decisions on product performance and work with various leaders and developers across product portfolios.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in UI development, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Expertise in front-end technologies including React JS, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and LESS/SASS.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with business stakeholders.
• Experience in developing web applications for large-scale consumption.
• Proficiency in responsive web/mobile UIs and Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of Webpack or Vite, and GraphQL.
• Good understanding of HTTP headers and user agents.
• Familiarity with DevOps and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of application infrastructure and resilience.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle including coding standards, testing, and deployment.
• Knowledge of Visual Studio, accessibility, and W3C standards.
