About the position

The Lead User Experience Researcher at McDonald's is responsible for executing comprehensive research projects that inform product strategy and enhance user experiences. This role involves strategizing, planning, facilitating, and synthesizing research findings to provide actionable insights. The researcher will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to the UX Research team's development, and promote the value of research within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive research projects including strategizing, scoping, planning, facilitating, and synthesizing research findings.
  • Collaborate closely with other researchers, designers, and cross-functional partners to identify research opportunities and contribute to product vision.
  • Shape the future of the UX Research team by proposing and implementing new tools and processes.
  • Support and highlight the value of research within the organization by promoting its importance in the product development process.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in design research.
  • Direct experience conducting design research across various methodologies (exploratory, generative, evaluative, qualitative, quantitative).
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically regarding the application of data and research.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate insights and recommendations clearly.
