About the position

Micron Technology is seeking a Lead UX Designer to join our Digital Strategy & Experience team. This role is pivotal in transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all. As a world leader in memory and storage solutions, Micron is committed to innovating and enhancing the user experience across our digital platforms. The Lead UX Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing creative ideas in collaboration with digital strategy, marketing, and customer operations teams. This position requires extensive experience in the ecommerce industry, particularly with tools such as AEM, Adobe Target, and Adobe Analytics. In this role, you will conduct usability testing to improve the user experience of our products and features on various websites. You will identify customer pain points and craft wireframes that showcase interactive flows, information architecture, and designs aimed at addressing these challenges. Your ability to present design ideas and prototypes effectively to UI designers and developers will be crucial. You will also establish design guidelines, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all digital touchpoints. Monitoring the performance of executed designs through metrics such as conversion rates, A/B testing, and user heat maps will be part of your responsibilities. You will maintain an active awareness of market trends and new product releases, using analytics to deliver meaningful business metrics. Additionally, you will be tasked with testing and improving website designs by incorporating new functionalities, preparing design plans, and presenting website structures. Your role will also involve providing both quantitative and qualitative research to inform design metrics, ensuring that our digital experiences are not only visually appealing but also user-friendly and effective.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Psychology, or related field in Interaction and Communication design.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in the UX field, particularly in E-Commerce, B2B, and Marketing.
  • Proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Hands-on experience with graphic design software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of international web protocols, design standards, and usability best practices.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
  • Understanding of web programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and SEO principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
