About the position
The Lead Valet Attendant at Towne Park is responsible for orchestrating the service experience for hotel guests, ensuring high standards of service are met. This part-time role involves managing vehicle parking and retrieval, assisting guests with inquiries, and leading a team to deliver exceptional guest service under the direction of the Account Manager. The position requires a friendly demeanor, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle guest complaints and difficult situations with composure.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, client staff members, and coworkers.
- Acknowledge and greet guests within 30 seconds of arrival to create favorable first and last impressions.
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests, check in arriving guests, and explain vehicle parking and retrieval procedures.
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously, maintaining accuracy and composure under pressure.
- Use proper phone etiquette and assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries.
- Promote a teamwork philosophy through leading by example and effective communication skills.
- Issue claim checks to guests and complete ticket information for all vehicles taken into the valet system.
- Ensure staff are not providing 'lift' services to any hotel or hospital guest and maintain guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
- Assist the Account Manager in building work schedules and collecting revenue for all vehicles.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in Standard English.
