About the position

The Lead Valet Attendant at Towne Park is responsible for orchestrating the service experience for hotel guests, ensuring high standards of service are met. This part-time role involves managing vehicle parking and retrieval, assisting guests with inquiries, and leading a team to deliver exceptional guest service under the direction of the Account Manager. The position requires a friendly demeanor, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle guest complaints and difficult situations with composure.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, client staff members, and coworkers.
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within 30 seconds of arrival to create favorable first and last impressions.
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests, check in arriving guests, and explain vehicle parking and retrieval procedures.
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously, maintaining accuracy and composure under pressure.
  • Use proper phone etiquette and assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries.
  • Promote a teamwork philosophy through leading by example and effective communication skills.
  • Issue claim checks to guests and complete ticket information for all vehicles taken into the valet system.
  • Ensure staff are not providing 'lift' services to any hotel or hospital guest and maintain guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
  • Assist the Account Manager in building work schedules and collecting revenue for all vehicles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in Standard English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service or hospitality industry.
