About the position

The Lead Valet Attendant at Hollywood Casino at Greektown is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the valet areas during their assigned shift. This role involves coordinating the activities of the parking/valet team, ensuring compliance with established procedures, and providing excellent customer service to guests. The Lead Valet Attendant will also train new team members and handle various operational tasks related to valet services.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities of the Parking/Valet Team on assigned shift
  • Support and enforce established procedures
  • Survey all Valet areas and obtain appropriate supplies for shift
  • Manage traffic control and issue valet tickets to guests
  • Train new team members (all attendants)
  • Enter guest/vehicle information into the system
  • Ensure valet tickets are filled out completely
  • Notify management of any challenges
  • Check uniforms and appearance of staff
  • Assist in activities of Valet Driver, Dispatcher, Lane Attendant, Front Doormen (Bellmen), lockouts, vehicle jumps, and complete shuttle runs as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Ability to operate various motor vehicles
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to withstand various temperature changes and high frequency noises
  • Ability to bend, stoop, or kneel
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English
  • Understand and comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Skilled in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence
  • Ability to work and make decisions under stressful conditions
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, and decision making skills
  • Ability to provide support to staff and delegate job duties
  • Valid Michigan Driver's license
