About the position

Hero Practice Services is seeking a Lead Optometric Technician to manage vision tech performance and proficiency levels while partnering with the Assistant Manager of Vision and Operations Manager. This role is crucial in achieving patient and organizational goals, ensuring effective execution of policies and procedures, and fostering a supportive team environment. The Lead Optometric Technician will play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of children and young people in underserved communities by ensuring quality care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Understand, monitor, and ensure effective execution of all policies and procedures by completing administrative tasks correctly and on time.
• Demonstrate a sense of cohesion within the practice that fosters teammate dependability and support by reporting to work as scheduled and encouraging teammates' growth.
• Ensure patients are teched and scribed in a timely manner and assist the team when falling behind.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment.
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, including OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, and Employee Handbook.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and leadership experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of administrative experience, with previous vision practice experience as a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and EHR Systems.
• Ability to tech, scribe, optical, cross care, and perform Vision Team Lead tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth.
• Organized with a superior knowledge of dentistry.
