About the position

The Lead Visual role at West Elm Tuscan Village focuses on enhancing the customer experience by ensuring operational excellence and visual merchandising standards in the store. This position supports the management team in daily operations, supervises staff, and drives sales performance while fostering a People First culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational functions including opening and closing the store, managing register functions, and back office procedures.
• Ensure the store meets visual, replenishment, cleanliness, safety, and back of house standards during manager-on-duty shifts.
• Serve as a Selling Captain, modeling sales generation and customer service for associates.
• Utilize Selling Essentials and training resources to educate the team on product knowledge and improve selling skills.
• Provide training and coaching to associates in selling, product knowledge, clienteling, and in-home services.
• Maintain a respectful and fair environment for all associates in line with the People First Philosophy.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of retail sales experience with shift supervision experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in home-related design, visual merchandising, or stockroom responsibilities preferred (specialty retail preferred, but not required).
• Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples.
• Ability to be active, standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, and lifting for extended periods of time.
