About the position
Disaster Kleenup Specialists is looking for an experienced Water Mitigation Technician to join their team. This role involves working in high-demand situations to restore properties affected by water damage. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment. The technician will report to the Project Supervisor and will be responsible for various tasks related to water mitigation and restoration.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Project Supervisor at the start of each shift for job assignments.
- Complete assigned tasks daily related to water mitigation and restoration.
- Preserve structural items and contents according to the Project Supervisor's instructions.
- Inform the Project Supervisor of the equipment and materials needed for assignments.
- Direct laborers in restoration protocols using effective communication skills.
- Document personnel hours and work performed during shifts.
- Initiate results that lead to time and cost savings for the project.
- Practice on-the-job safety and encourage safety among the labor force.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as required.
Requirements
- Hold a valid IICRC Water Certification.
- Possess a reasonable driving record and reliable transportation.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Have experience in the construction or restoration industry (preferred but not required).
