About the position
As a Server at Swedish Hill Westlake, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests. This position involves managing a busy floor, showcasing your knowledge of the menu, and ensuring high standards of food and beverage quality. You will be part of a new restaurant opening, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere and a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain standards of food and beverage quality and standards of service
- Demonstrate menu knowledge and sales skills, answering questions, and making suggestions
- Relay orders to the kitchen and beverage services
- Communicate with other staff and management regarding the needs of guests
- Complete all side work as assigned
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year server experience required
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
- TABC and Food Handlers certificate required
- Excellent customer service and people skills required
- Strong verbal communication skills required
- Good working knowledge of wine and a willingness to learn
- Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively
- Ability to read menus, safety documents, etc.
- Prior experience with POS systems
