About the position

The Lead position at FedEx Supply Chain involves overseeing daily workload activities, monitoring productivity, and ensuring operational efficiency in a warehouse environment. This role requires collaboration with Operations Supervisors and proficiency in various operational areas, including training personnel and maintaining inventory accuracy. The Lead is responsible for fostering continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and monitors daily workload activities including productivity tracking.
• Reviews, assigns, and completes daily workloads while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Evaluates workloads and team resources, communicating changing requirements to management.
• Monitors equipment operation, safety, security, and housekeeping of the area.
• Responsible for initial training of production floor personnel according to company guidelines.
• Fosters continuous improvement on the production floor.
• Utilizes and assigns personnel to ensure maximum efficiency and attainment of production standards.
• Reviews line reconciliation paperwork for accuracy.
• Conducts and monitors employee training.
• Assists with monitoring productivity status and reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with Excel, including spreadsheets and formulas.
• Experience with warehouse management systems is required.
• Lean manufacturing and 5S experience is helpful.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service driven and a strong team player.
