About the position

The Leader, National Sales and Product Trainer at American Standard is a pivotal role within the Sales team, responsible for driving product training and development to enhance sales performance. This position involves engaging with trade, commercial, and wholesale customers to establish brand loyalty and promote skilled labor in plumbing trades. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a results-oriented mindset, thriving in a fast-paced environment while delivering best-in-class training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training and development tools to customers to achieve sales goals.
  • Plan and coordinate product training events for onboarding and ongoing education.
  • Develop and facilitate training for sales teams, customers, and influencers including plumbers, builders, and designers.
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Produce physical and digital educational materials in collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Collect feedback from trainees and managers to enhance training courses.
  • Collaborate with Data and Analytics Specialist to assess the impact of training programs on sales.
  • Liaise with external trainers and organize seminars, delivering CEUs.
  • Support the National Trade Sales Training team in implementing key national training programs.
  • Advocate for the Trade Up program and connect with vocational schools and apprentice programs.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience working with VoTech schools or similar trade experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong presentation skills and comfort engaging large groups.
  • Ability to use video technology effectively.
  • Willingness to travel across the country for training events, approximately 50% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales training or product training within the plumbing industry.
  • Familiarity with cold calling for outreach to VoTech schools.
