About the position
The Security Leader at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is responsible for overseeing the activities of security personnel, ensuring adequate coverage throughout the hospital, and preparing work rosters. This role involves monitoring security reports and incidents, as well as providing leadership and support to security staff to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the activities of security personnel and ensure adequate coverage throughout the hospital.
- Prepare work rosters and assign security personnel for various shifts and events.
- Review security reports and incidents daily to inform officers of relevant information during roll call.
- Monitor Henry Ford Health System facilities to prevent loss of property or injury to individuals.
- Provide leadership and support to security staff, ensuring adherence to customer service policies.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Knowledge and skills equivalent to an HFHS Security Officer/Security Police Officer or relevant work experience.
- Completion of IAHSS Supervisory and Safety training programs within the first year.
- Strong management and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and behaviors.
