About the position

The Leadership Development Associate position at Rio Grande Regional Hospital is part of the Patient Access Leadership Development Program (PTAC LEAD). This full-time role focuses on enhancing management and technical skills through a combination of classroom and field training. Associates will work closely with hospital executives and staff, gaining insights into the patient access operations, which serve as a central point of contact for patients and their families. The program requires a commitment of 12-24 months and aims to prepare participants for future leadership roles within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Receive classroom and field training to enhance management and technical skills.
  • Work alongside hospital executives, including CEOs and COOs, to understand hospital operations.
  • Interact directly with patients and their families in the Patient Access area.
  • Assist patients with registration documents and answer inquiries as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field required (or working towards completion).
  • Master's degree in Business Administration is helpful but not required.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 for BS or BA and MBA (if applicable).
  • 1 year of experience in healthcare, healthcare management, or finance is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degrees in Accounting, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or Hospitality are a plus.
