About the position

V2X is seeking skilled Leadership-Training-Program (LTP) Coaches/Instructors to work under the direction of the Brigade Command Group Senior Instructor in Hohenfels, Germany. This position is contingent upon rotational deployment. The primary responsibilities of the LTP Coaches include coaching, teaching, and mentoring the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) to Battalion commanders, staffs, and relevant enabler units. These enabler units encompass a wide range of military branches, including Infantry, Armor, Cavalry, Engineer, Field Artillery, and various support units such as Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations. The role requires a deep understanding of both U.S. Army and NATO doctrines, tactics, techniques, and procedures, as the instructors will be preparing U.S. units to interact effectively with NATO forces. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading and training at the brigade or battalion command level, with a strong emphasis on combat experience. Instructors will be responsible for guiding Battalion Commanders through tactical instruction programs that prepare them for offensive, defensive, and stability operations as part of brigade combat team (BCT) decisive action. This includes conducting After Action Reviews (AARs) and utilizing live and virtual combat simulations to evaluate unit training. Instructors must stay current on Army and Joint Doctrine, including regulations and policy changes, to ensure that training is relevant and effective. Candidates must possess the requisite military experience at the tactical battalion command level and demonstrate practical experience and professional military education that aligns with the duties of the position. The role may require non-standard schedules, including extended hours and weekends, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is essential. Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, teaching, and mentoring the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) to Battalion commanders and staffs.
• Instructing Battalion Commanders in tactical instruction for offensive, defensive, and stability operations.
• Conducting After Action Reviews (AARs) to evaluate training effectiveness.
• Designing and preparing training scenarios for combat teams and staffs.
• Staying current on Army and Joint Doctrine, including regulations and policy changes.
• Facilitating the use of BCT capabilities through current warfighting technology.

Requirements

• Experience leading and training at the brigade or battalion command level.
• Combat experience is desired.
• Ability to instruct Battalion Commanders through tactical instruction programs.
• Familiarity with NATO doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Relevant former battalion/squadron command experience.
• Experience in unit training evaluations using live and virtual combat simulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience at a Combat Training Center (CTC) as an Observer Coach/Trainer (OC/T).
• Experience at the U.S. Army Brigade Combat Team level or below.
