About the position

The Leadless Clinical Specialist at Abbott Laboratories serves as the primary expert in leadless cardiac rhythm management (CRM) products and therapies. This role involves providing technical, clinical, and educational support to ensure the successful adoption and implementation of leadless technology in medical settings. The specialist collaborates with sales teams and physicians to enhance procedural success and drive therapy adoption, while also overseeing training programs and maintaining compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary case support for initial leadless implants according to instructions for use.
  • Partner with local sales teams to expand leadless therapy within local accounts.
  • Support national physician training programs by facilitating hands-on training experiences.
  • Develop trusting relationships with physician implanters through technical and clinical expertise.
  • Oversee local education and training activities, including coordination and content delivery.
  • Facilitate simulated procedures and troubleshooting for local teams and hospital staff.
  • Assist in certifying local Abbott personnel on the use of field-based simulators.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as case tracking and monitoring physician training progress.
  • Provide feedback to internal stakeholders to enhance customer experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with Abbott policies and best business practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of clinical medical device experience, ideally with CRM products.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices.
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • High comfort level in medical environments, including labs and hospitals.
  • Proven success in leading and influencing customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with medical device industry policies and operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other personal computer applications.
