About the position

The Lean Facilitator I position at Signature Flight Support LLC is designed for individuals who are passionate about continuous improvement and process optimization within the aviation industry. As an Associate Lean Practitioner, the Lean Facilitator I will play a crucial role in leading process improvement projects by facilitating teams through Kaizen workshops. This role requires a basic understanding of Lean principles and methodologies, as well as the ability to monitor the sustainability of improvements and present results and recommendations effectively. The Lean Facilitator I will be responsible for developing metrics and measurement tools that enhance operational processes, driving greater efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. In this role, the Lean Facilitator I will observe and document opportunities for process improvement, conduct Lean Kaizen workshops, and lead teams through these workshops utilizing various Lean tools. The position involves analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and collaborating with functional Vice Presidents and Directors to implement Lean practices within their respective organizations. Effective communication is essential, as the Lean Facilitator I will lead teams through improvement initiatives, create PowerPoint presentations, and generate executive-level reports to communicate project status and outcomes. Additionally, the Lean Facilitator I will track Kaizen projects using project management processes and tools, working closely with Business Intelligence to source data and create post-Kaizen dashboards that reflect the impact of the improvements made. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the overall success of Signature Aviation by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and document opportunities for process improvement
  • Conduct Lean Kaizen workshops to drive business results
  • Lead teams through Kaizen workshops using Lean Tools
  • Analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Work with functional VPs and Directors on applying Lean in their organization
  • Communicate effectively and lead teams through improvement work
  • Lead teams through roadmaps for improvement
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and executive-level reports
  • Generate written communications including project status reports
  • Track Kaizen projects using project management processes and tools
  • Work with Business Intelligence to source data and create post-Kaizen dashboards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or math/statistics is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in aviation or related industry, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Visio
  • Critical analysis, data management, and troubleshooting skills
  • Planning, time management, communication, and people skills
  • Basic project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead others in a collaborative environment
  • Basic use of Statistical Analysis and Six Sigma DMAIC
  • Basic ability to think strategically and align CI work with Company Strategic Plans
  • Basic change leadership skills using proven methods (i.e., ADKAR, Influencer, Kotter)
