The Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering is seeking a Learner Experience Designer (LXD) who possesses significant experience in designing innovative learning solutions that drive measurable results. The LXD will play a crucial role in collaborating with the project team to design, develop, and deliver transformational learning experiences. This position is integral to the department's mission of enhancing educational outcomes through the effective use of technology in learning environments. In this role, the LXD will be responsible for the design and development of innovative learning solutions tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners. This includes implementing pilot programs and assessing their effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement. The LXD will consult and serve as an experienced resource in planning, testing, and implementing instructional technology projects that support innovative approaches to learning, instructional methods, and assessment strategies. The position requires maintaining currency on emerging technologies related to learning management systems, active learning classrooms, electronic collaboration, and social networking. The LXD will help faculty make evidence-based decisions about the use of technology in their teaching practices. Additionally, the role involves researching and recommending appropriate technologies for developing materials, delivery mechanisms, and assessments that support effective teaching and learning. The LXD will also develop and design workshop materials that promote technology strategies in both traditional and online courses, conducting training sessions for individuals, groups, and larger audiences. Collaboration in larger initiatives and working groups to support university efforts to improve teaching and learning is also a key responsibility of this position.
