About the position

The Learning and Development Consultant at Ohio Farmers Insurance Company is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering effective learning programs that align with employee development and organizational goals. This role involves identifying learning needs, implementing learning initiatives, and evaluating their effectiveness while collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, manage, deliver, and maintain learning programs for business units/segments.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in learning and development for assigned areas.
  • Utilize adult learning methodologies and visual design tools to create appropriate learning content.
  • Manage curriculum and program development, including planning and needs analysis.
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders and collaborate across the organization.
  • Develop and deliver engaging learning sessions using various methods.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify performance gaps and learning needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and gather feedback for improvement.
  • Utilize learning technologies to manage learning programs and track progress.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and industry standards.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to learning initiatives.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and continuously improve professional skills.
  • Perform talent management responsibilities for up to two employees.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development or related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering effective learning programs.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to conduct needs assessments and evaluate program effectiveness.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with talent management responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with visual design tools for learning content.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in learning and development.
