About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist will support the Human Resources Administration (HRA) division in the State of Georgia by implementing talent solutions focused on talent acquisition and performance management. This role involves delivering training, providing consultation, and analyzing data related to the state's human resources information system, Workday, branded as GA@WORK. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, data-driven, and capable of developing and delivering training programs across various formats.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training and content related to the State's human resources information system Workday (GA@WORK).
  • Provide training and resources to agency recruiters on talent pool optimization, internship programs, interviewing, and hiring best practices.
  • Research training best practices to support continuous program improvement for GA@WORK.
  • Analyze GA@WORK-related data and generate graphic and narrative reports and presentations.
  • Maintain and update training course materials, exercises, hand-outs, and exams based on best practices and feedback.
  • Conduct instructor-led training both virtually and in-person for HRA-approved training courses.
  • Utilize systems training environments to lead student activities.
  • Assist with the maintenance of HRA's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Respond to requests from various stakeholders.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of job-related experience in human resources, or one year at the lower-level HR Spec 2 or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering training through multiple methods including in-person, online, and multimedia.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Program management and administration skills, including organization and multitasking.
  • Aptitude for learning and using technology for training design and data analysis.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Optimization, or other Workday modules as an administrator or trainer.
  • HRIS systems training experience.

Benefits

  • Contract position with a pay range of $37.00 - $40.00 per hour.
  • Potential for contract extension after 12 months.
