About the position

As a Learning and Development Specialist II at bioMerieux, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Americas Training team by providing technical and operational assistance for our learning management systems (LMS). This position is designed for an enthusiastic and organized professional who is passionate about customer service and is capable of working independently. You will be the first point of contact for end users, managers, curriculum owners, and other administrators, ensuring that all inquiries and issues are addressed promptly and effectively. Your responsibilities will include managing a group email inbox for change requests, supporting users across various sites including Durham, St. Louis, Salt Lake City, and San Jose. You will be part of a small team of three LMS administrators, and your work will involve performing and documenting changes, troubleshooting user issues, and providing training to new users. The role requires you to work largely unsupervised, emphasizing the need for strong self-motivation and the ability to manage your time effectively. In addition to providing first-level support for compliance and learning development LMS tools, you will assist managers in utilizing these tools effectively. This includes generating status and completion reports to aid in curriculum development and setting up scheduled reports for managers and curriculum owners. You will also support internal and external audits by providing accurate training reports as requested by auditors and regulatory agencies. Your collaboration with leadership will be essential in identifying potential risks and opportunities for continuous improvement, ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first level support for current compliance and learning and development LMS tools, including remote support, group training, and one-on-one training as needed.
  • Support managers in the use of compliance and learning and development LMS tools, providing status and completion reports to assist with curriculum development and setting up scheduled reports for managers and curriculum owners.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing training reports quickly and accurately for audit requests from internal auditors and regulatory agencies, both for the Americas region and global users.
  • Assist with new software releases for the learning management systems.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify potential risks and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 3+ years experience in LMS administration, ComplianceWire, Cornerstone on Demand, SuccessFactors Learn, and secure document servers (OpenText) OR a High School Diploma/GED with 7 years of experience in LMS administration, ComplianceWire, Cornerstone on Demand, SuccessFactors Learn, and secure document servers (OpenText) also accepted.
  • 3+ years relationship management experience with auditors, subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Comfort with detail-oriented work, with an emphasis on accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and precisely with people of varying levels of technological experience.
