About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist - Instructor at Leica Biosystems is responsible for onboarding new commercial team members, sustaining knowledge, conducting field audits and mentoring, introducing new products, and addressing various training demands. This role is part of the Global Sales Enablement and Operations Team and is fully remote based in the U.S. The position focuses on delivering quality training content, particularly in the Immunohistochemistry business vertical, while also supporting special projects and acting as a field coach for the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct live, instructor-led trainings or virtual learning for commercial teams.
  • Deliver quality content and experiences focused on the Immunohistochemistry business vertical.
  • Liaise with sales leadership to assess training needs and develop implementation plans.
  • Facilitate learning and training initiatives based on regional needs.
  • Support special projects such as product launches and sales meetings.
  • Act as a field coach and auditor for the commercial sales team.

Requirements

  • BS in Biology or related sciences, and/or certifications in Anatomical Pathology.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Anatomical Pathology labs or commercial markets.
  • At least 3 years of experience mentoring or coaching in the Anatomical Pathology space.
  • Practical experience using anatomical pathology equipment, preferably Leica or competitors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Multi-language skills (Spanish, Portuguese, French) written and spoken.
  • Experience in course facilitation practices for adult learning.
  • Familiarity with adult learning models and concepts.
  • Experience in video/e-learning content design.
