About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at firstPRO Inc. is responsible for designing and implementing training initiatives and programs that enhance employee skills and support organizational goals. This role involves collaborating with management and external agencies to deliver effective training solutions, managing the Learning Management System (LMS), and tracking learning outcomes to drive improvements in employee development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and implementation of training materials and programs using various learning methods.
  • Coordinate with external agencies to deliver training that meets organizational needs.
  • Work with subject matter experts to define learning objectives for training programs.
  • Gather information and tools to build and adapt learning content for dissemination across enterprise locations.
  • Support the annual talent management and succession planning process by coordinating contributions from key stakeholders.
  • Track learning reporting and KPIs to drive improvements in training effectiveness.
  • Select and implement a Learning Management System (LMS) that meets business needs.
  • Manage the LMS platform, including learner and teacher management, planning, and logistics.
  • Contribute to the development of employee orientation and manager induction programs, updating them as necessary.
  • Collaborate with management to support training initiatives and ensure strategic alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, organizational development, or a relevant discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources or training, preferably in manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Experience with performance appraisal tools and supporting training plans.
  • Experience managing a Learning Management System and creating eLearning content.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience creating and managing employee surveys to gather feedback on management and training effectiveness.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
