About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at Seven Hills Foundation is responsible for delivering various training programs, including new employee orientation, compliance training, and leadership development. This role involves collaborating with the Chief Learning and Development Officer to create and implement effective training solutions that meet the needs of a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chief Learning and Development Officer with the development and implementation of staff training programs.
  • Organize, coordinate, and conduct new employee orientation programs, compliance training, and leadership training.
  • Conduct needs assessments and design, develop, and measure the results of learning and development solutions.
  • Partner with subject matter experts for major training initiatives to gather information and create content.
  • Pilot new programs and solicit feedback to validate final content delivery.
  • Coordinate and develop training materials and learning aides that meet agency needs and adhere to professional standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, learning and development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of training or leadership experience in education, adult learning, health and human services, or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience in coordinating and delivering training or continuing educational programs for a large and diverse staff.
  • One (1) year of technical training experience desired.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and theory, classroom facilitation skills, and asynchronous training.
  • Proficiency in training delivery, facilitation skills, learning management systems, e-learning platforms, and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Driver's license required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with learning management systems (Docebo preferred).
  • Experience in health and human services.
