About the position

The Learning & Development Specialist at LiveOnNY plays a crucial role in enhancing the professional growth of the organization's teams through the design, implementation, and facilitation of training and educational programs. This position supports the Learning & Development Managers and is dedicated to fostering the mission of organ and tissue donation while ensuring that training materials meet both organizational requirements and employee needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develops training materials and processes cognizant of both the organization's requirements and the employee's needs.
  • Updates and maintains education and training materials, as needed.
  • Researches training providers and programs based on identified educational needs.
  • Schedules programs and seminars, including preparing contracts with training companies, liaising with trainers, and arranging logistics.
  • Coordinates assembly of materials with trainers.
  • Develops, facilitates, and documents attendance of e-learning/webinars.
  • Creates forms, special reports, charts, graphs, tables, PowerPoint presentations, and instructional design for e-learning sessions.
  • Maintains calendar, schedules presenters for, and facilitates general orientation.
  • Designs and delivers workshops, e-learnings, webinars, and trainings to engage in-house and remote staff.
  • Provides technical support to Salesforce end-users via troubleshooting, hands-on training, and labs.
  • Collaborates with Salesforce administrator to ensure the system remains updated and functional.
  • Acts as system administrator for learning management system (LMS).
  • Researches, evaluates, and utilizes new training and development techniques, methods, and procedures.
  • Maintains department's inventory of supplies and materials for educational programs.
  • Prepares certificates for educational programs and seminars.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a training and development role.
  • Demonstrated successful execution of the full training life cycle for technical and soft skills training.
  • Previous experience coordinating travel, schedules, and maintaining a training calendar.
