About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at Daifuku Airport America Corporation is responsible for creating, developing, and managing company-wide learning and training initiatives. This role involves administering the Learning Management System (LMS) and the Performance Management process, while collaborating with management to balance business needs with employee development and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assess organizational needs and design, develop, implement, and deliver learning initiatives for new hires and current employees.
  • Collaborate with external training vendors to deliver customized programs and courses.
  • Implement and administer the Learning Management System (LMS); provide user training and support.
  • Maintain training records and ensure employees complete required training.
  • Maintain training calendar and all course materials.
  • Serve as point of contact for employee training requests and questions.
  • Manage the company-wide Performance Management process; provide user support of the Performance Management system.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using surveys, interviews, and other methods; revise training programs based on feedback.
  • Assist with recruiting by self-sourcing candidates and developing screening tools in partnership with managers.
  • Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies and notify eligible workers of position availability.
  • Schedule interviews, collect feedback, and update applicant tracking system.
  • Order background checks and drug screens for candidates who accepted offers of employment.
  • Ensure all paperwork, personnel files, and HRIS data entry is complete and accurate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Training, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with LMS programs, experience in Cornerstone preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with PMS programs.
  • Proficiency in LMS, PMS, MS Office, and database software.
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern training methods and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and use of presentation software.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) certification preferred.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of LMS and PMS.
