About the position

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for implementing the Training Program at the Devens site, ensuring that training solutions meet performance and quality standards. This role involves training staff, assessing their proficiency, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The Specialist collaborates with various teams to develop training content and continuously improve training processes.

Responsibilities

  • Implement training programs that meet regulatory requirements and business needs.
  • Provide training expertise and consultation in support of the Devens site training model and process.
  • Work with L&D and functional Subject Matter Experts to create a training and development plan.
  • Conduct ILT and OJT sessions to support functional unit training requirements.
  • Provide feedback to trainees to ensure all skills and knowledge have been acquired.
  • Solicit feedback from trainees for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to ensure training is compliant and effective.
  • Maintain accurate training documentation and employee record keeping.
  • Develop course content and procedures including new SOPs and TRNs for manufacturing training programs.
  • Perform competency assessments of operators on an ongoing basis.
  • Implement the local Manufacturing Operations new hire Training Program.
  • Promote and exhibit core values in onboarding and training activities.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling training sessions and coordinating enrollment.
  • Communicate with different departments to ensure new hires have access to necessary systems and security.
  • Observe, practice, and promote all aspects of GMP & GDP requirements.
  • Report and initiate non-conformances and participate in follow-up investigations.

Requirements

  • Understanding of GMP manufacturing environments, processes, and controls requirements.
  • Intermediate skills in design, development, and implementation of training using the ADDIE instructional design model.
  • High level of experience delivering and assessing training.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly to facilitate effective learning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with trainees and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in an aseptic environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment for 3-5 years.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Education, or B.S. in Biology, Biochemical, or Chemical.
