About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at Integral Care is responsible for facilitating training and developmental experiences that enhance employee performance and cultural competence. This role involves implementing best practices in adult learning and ensuring that training content is relevant and effective. The Specialist will conduct in-classroom instruction, update training materials, and support the agency's continuing education provider status, all while promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate in-classroom instruction on various topics including CPR, de-escalation, and leadership development.
  • Update training content to align with best practices in cultural competency and adult learning principles.
  • Support Integral Care's CE provider status by reviewing course content for CEU eligibility for various licenses.
  • Guide subject matter experts in developing training strategies that improve on-the-job performance.
  • Design and produce learning materials in various formats to support teaching and learning needs.
  • Provide support to instructors through quality reviews of training content and recommend improvements.
  • Implement best practices in technology and multimedia to enhance learner engagement.
  • Contribute to professional development communications and maintain awareness of mandatory training requirements.
  • Participate in committees that advance staff development and support learning and development events.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in psychology, behavioral health, education, or a comparable field.
  • Current and valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Current CPR Instructor Certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • 1 - 3 years' experience using software to create eLearning courses.
  • Working knowledge of instructional design concepts, including the ADDIE model and adult learning theory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare education environment.
  • Bilingual in English and one of the following languages: Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, or Burmese.
