About the position

The Learning & Development Specialist at Bodman PLC is a newly created role within the Application Services Team, aimed at enhancing technology adoption and training services across the firm. This position focuses on developing effective training programs tailored for legal professionals, leveraging technology to foster positive change and improve employee skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of legal professionals.
  • Develop the full training lifecycle, from onboarding to ongoing skill reinforcement and assessments, across the complete IT service catalog, utilizing a range of media and content types.
  • Develop and maintain course materials using authoring tools like Camtasia and Articulate 360.
  • Manage the LMS, including course uploads, user management, and reporting on training outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the firm's subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure that all training materials are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training opportunities.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees on the effective use of Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience within the legal sector is essential.
  • Understanding of legal applications, their functions and business processes.
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft 365.
  • Strong background using document production tools for Word, including Litera's DocXTools or BigHand's Create and Hyperstyles.
  • Proven track record in the development of engaging training programs and content.
  • Strong experience with e-learning authoring tools, including Camtasia and Articulate 360.
  • Effective management of learning management systems (LMS).
  • SharePoint and Power Platform skillset advantageous.
  • Experience with low-code automation a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
