About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist position at Russell Tobin is a full-time role based in New York City, specifically designed to support the onboarding of Microsoft Dynamics for a Fortune 100 investment firm. The successful candidate will join the USWA's Learning and Development (L&D) team, focusing on creating and implementing training resources that facilitate the effective use of Microsoft Dynamics across the organization. This role requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual who can communicate effectively and work collaboratively with various stakeholders. In this position, you will be responsible for developing a range of training materials, including how-to guides, one-pagers, and virtual courses, tailored to meet the diverse competencies and needs of over 300 users. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts to ensure that the training content is engaging, relevant, and effective. The role also involves coordinating logistics for training events related to Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring that all aspects of the training program are executed smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, enabling them to navigate the complexities of working with multiple stakeholders throughout the onboarding process. A solid understanding of learning science and instructional design principles will be essential in creating effective training materials that cater to a wide range of user competencies and priorities. Responsibilities

  • Support USWA's L&D team to execute on the Microsoft Dynamics onboarding program.
  • Understand USWA's CRM and align that with the knowledge base needed to successfully onboard.
  • Develop a variety of simple, effective training materials that cater to a wide range of competencies, priorities, and needs using knowledge of learning science or instructional design.
  • Coordinate logistics of USWA training events related to Microsoft Dynamics.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in Learning & Development and/or Instructional Design.
  • Skilled in creating different forms of effective training content; proficiency in Articulate 360 is a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with CRMs, with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Some experience with using LMS is a plus (SCORM, data and metrics performance tracking, etc.).
  • Excellent communicator with strong project management skills.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and motivated individual with a commitment to excellence.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with instructional design principles and learning science.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics and tracking in LMS.
