About the position

The position involves supporting HNTB's learning and development team by maintaining and updating existing learning materials, creating small-scale learning materials, producing virtual instructor-led classes, and conducting quality analysis of courses. This role is essential for ensuring the continuous improvement and effectiveness of HNTB's learning programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor updates and revisions to existing learning materials based on feedback and changing requirements.
  • Ensure all updates align with instructional design principles and learning objectives.
  • Develop small-scale or minor learning materials collaborating with subject matter experts and the design team to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
  • Coordinate and produce virtual instructor-led training sessions, including technical setup and support.
  • Assist instructors with technical issues and provide real-time support during sessions.
  • Maintain and update courses and course descriptions in the learning management system (LMS) and other relevant platforms.
  • Conduct quality analysis of learning resources created by the design team to ensure content accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from learners and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement changes based on quality analysis to enhance learning experiences.
  • Create and maintain learning communications templates including email templates and calendar invites for live instructor-led classes.
  • Provide backup support to the Learning Coordinator in scheduling and executing instructor-led classes, including coordinating logistics, scheduling, venue setup, materials preparation, managing registration, attendance tracking, post-session evaluations, and serving as the point of contact for participants and instructors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Development, Psychology, Communications, Business, Marketing or related area.
  • In lieu of education, 4 years' experience in human resources, training, learning, organizational development or similar business area.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 years' experience in communications, marketing, human resources, training, or organizational development.
  • Experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with instructional design authoring tools such as Microsoft Office, Articulate (Rise, Storyline), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Strong technical skills and experience with virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, WebEx).
