About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at Joulé is responsible for designing, implementing, and assessing training programs within a GMP manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring that training meets regulatory requirements and business needs, facilitating effective learning experiences for new hires and existing employees. The specialist will collaborate with subject matter experts and management to develop training content and maintain accurate training documentation.

Responsibilities

• Implement training programs that meet regulatory requirements and business needs.
• Provide training expertise and consultation in support of the Devens site training model and process.
• Work with L&D and functional Subject Matter Experts to create a training and development plan.
• Conduct ILT and OJT sessions to support functional unit training requirements.
• Provide feedback to trainees to ensure all skills/knowledge have been acquired.
• Solicit feedback from trainees to ensure the appropriateness of course content.
• Collaborate with the Manager to ensure training is compliant and effective.
• Maintain accurate training documentation and employee record keeping.
• Develop course content and procedures including new SOPs and TRNs for manufacturing training programs.
• Perform competency assessments of operators on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Education, B.S. in Biology, Biochemical, Chemical, or 3-5 years of relevant experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate skills in design, development, and implementation of training utilizing the ADDIE instructional design model.
• Advanced skills in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• High level of organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with trainees, colleagues, and subject-matter experts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a biopharmaceutical company.
• Familiarity with GMP manufacturing environments.
