About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the skills and capabilities of employees within LexisNexis Reed Tech's Government IP operations unit. This position involves collaborating closely with production managers to identify specific learning needs and create relevant, engaging, and impactful training content that aligns with the strategic direction of the training function and overall business objectives. The specialist will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs that not only meet organizational goals but also enhance employee skills across various levels of the organization. In this role, the Learning and Development Specialist will assess training needs through collaboration with stakeholders and conduct thorough analyses of skill gaps. This involves creating engaging training materials, including presentations, exercises, and assessments, and facilitating training sessions in various formats such as classroom-based, virtual, or on-the-job training. The effectiveness of these training programs will be evaluated through feedback mechanisms and performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in training content and delivery. Staying updated on industry trends and best practices is essential for this position, as it allows the specialist to continuously refine and enhance the training programs offered. The role promotes a healthy work/life balance, allowing for flexible working hours to accommodate personal productivity and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Possess excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Practice good classroom management techniques
  • Expert in PTO data capture rules
  • Be proficient in instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Demonstrate experience in developing and delivering training programs
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be proficient in using learning management systems and other training tools
  • Possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Be able to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • May be required to conduct off-site training classes and attend on-site meetings
