About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at LeafGuard will support the development and delivery of training programs across all 12 brands of Great Day Home Improvement. This role focuses on creating engaging learning content and facilitating effective training to enhance employee knowledge, skills, and competencies. The specialist will also manage the learning management system and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the instructional strategy aligns with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to general UFactor inquiries and assist stakeholders with event registration and course completion.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning activities and compelling course content.
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify training needs for the target audience.
  • Develop training programs that promote company culture and reduce turnover.
  • Automate and streamline business processes to maximize efficiency within the department.
  • Plan events to support learning and development initiatives.
  • Design instructional goals and create content that aligns with them.
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.
  • Apply instructional design theories and methods to enhance learning.
  • Create supporting materials such as audio, video, simulations, and games.
  • Evaluate learner performance and develop assessment instruments.
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders.
  • Analyze learning data and feedback to improve instructional materials and learner engagement.
  • Manage multiple instructional design projects to ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Experience with learning platforms and instructional design software such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Strong lesson and project planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a results-focused environment.
  • Effective copywriting and instructional text writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Familiarity with Elucidat or other instructional design platforms.
