About the position

As a Learning and Development Specialist at Centene, you will play a crucial role in transforming the health of our communities by providing facilitation, assessment, content development, teaching, and monitoring of educational programs specifically for the Quality Solutions Outreach Team. This position is fully remote, allowing candidates from across the nation to apply, although you must be willing to work during Central Standard Time (CST) or Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours. Your primary responsibility will be to teach, facilitate, and assess training programs, employing a variety of methodologies and techniques to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the training provided. You will manage group dynamics by creating a learner-focused environment and utilizing adult accelerated learning methods. This includes producing professional presentations and training materials such as facilitation guides, training aids, assessments, and role-play scenarios using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other desktop publishing software. Additionally, you will be responsible for revising existing training materials based on audit results, feedback from internal and external customers, and changes in procedures. Scheduling training programs and preparing training status reports, assessments, and evaluation tools will also be part of your duties. Compliance with all policies and standards is essential in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches, facilitates, and assesses training programs for the Quality Solutions Outreach Team.
  • Employs a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs.
  • Manages group dynamics through the use of a learner-focused environment and adult accelerated learning methods.
  • Produces professional presentations and training materials including facilitation guides, training aids, assessments, training activities, and role play scenarios using MS Word, PowerPoint, and other desktop publishing software.
  • Revises existing training materials and programs based on audit results, questionnaires, changing procedures, and feedback from internal/external customers, subject matter experts, program sponsors, and trainers.
  • Schedules training programs and prepares training status reports, assessments, and evaluation tools.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in design and delivery of training programs using facilitation and communication skills, evaluation of learner needs, assessment of training programs, and implementation of learning solutions for performance enhancement.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Government Programs, Medicare and Medicaid, clinical practice in a hospital, clinic or other provider setting, claims, member services, health services, call center, sales, provider relations, training and development, corporate university, HMO, managed healthcare or insurance professional, curriculum development specialist, team leader for groups of 25 or more, online training, computer-based learning professional, public speaker, seminar leader.
