About the position

The Learning and Development Specialist at SRC, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the enterprise's strategic plan to attract, engage, and retain a high-quality workforce. This position is responsible for planning, creating, and delivering training programs for staff and leaders, applying adult learning principles to ensure effective outcomes for various training formats. The specialist will coordinate training logistics, manage learning systems, and support employee career development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of training classes including scheduling, class preparation, registration, attendance, and post-learning evaluation.
  • Administer all learning tasks in the learning management system including content management, registrar duties, and reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation and management of the training budget.
  • Facilitate meetings and communications with SRC's Training Advisory Council.
  • Partner with stakeholders and vendors to conceive and deliver necessary training to the right audience.
  • Plan, design, coordinate and evaluate competency-based education and training for individual contributors and frontline leaders.
  • Oversee effective and engaging new employee orientation programming.
  • Support employee career development goals through counseling on career paths, role transitions, and identifying growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Development, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in workplace training, including leadership-level coordination of learning solutions in virtual and in-person settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Zoom.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Nice-to-haves

  • Excellent oral and written communication and project management skills.
  • Creativity and collaborative orientation; able to work with all internal audiences and develop strong relationships with external vendor partners.
  • Demonstrated expertise in content development, design, and delivery for adult learners.
  • Familiarity with Saba Cornerstone Learning Management System; ability to troubleshoot user access issues.
  • Previous experience with career coaching and leadership development.
