About the position

The International Youth Foundation (IYF) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Learning and Knowledge Manager. This position is fully remote and will focus on leading the strategic development and operational execution of the Interagency Gender Working Group (IGWG). The IGWG is dedicated to promoting gender equality, eliminating gender-based violence (GBV), fostering male engagement, and examining youth gender norms. In this critical role, you will be responsible for reshaping the community of practice, managing key activities and deliverables, and fostering strong partnerships among members. As the IGWG Manager, you will work closely with the Project Director, Deputy Project Directors, and the Gender Senior Technical Advisor to facilitate the success of the working group. Your key duties will include managing coordination among IGWG members to refine a strategic framework, defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), planning and managing Advisory Group meetings, and forging strong relationships with key partners and members. You will also represent the Working Group at external meetings and events, manage communication channels, and oversee the IGWG website and discussion forum. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and managing newsletters, supporting the Gender-Based Violence Task Force, and coordinating with the Male Engagement Task Force. Your role will also involve managing the planning and execution of annual plenaries, webinars, and other events, as well as developing knowledge products such as reports and infographics. This position requires a strong commitment to the IGWG's mission and objectives, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development and operational execution of the Interagency Gender Working Group (IGWG).
  • Manage coordination among IGWG members to refine a strategic framework for the Working Group.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliverables.
  • Plan and manage Advisory Group meetings, facilitating productive discussions and actionable outcomes.
  • Forge and cultivate strong relationships with key partners and members.
  • Manage IGWG membership, onboarding new members, and engaging existing ones.
  • Represent the Working Group at external/technical meetings, events, and conferences.
  • Manage the IGWG's email communication channels.
  • Coordinate and manage meeting schedules, agendas, minutes, and action items.
  • Develop and maintain an internal communication plan to keep IGWG members informed of updates and activities.
  • Manage the IGWG website, including content updates and vendor contracts.
  • Develop, collate, and manage plans for regular newsletters.
  • Support the co-chair of the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Task Force, managing key deliverables.
  • Manage the planning and execution of annual plenaries, webinars, and other events.
  • Develop and manage a production plan for knowledge products like reports and infographics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience working in international development, youth development, and gender equality.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
  • Strong experience managing a technical working group of a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Spoken and written fluency in English required.
  • Professional proficiency in French or other languages is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills using MS Office products, SharePoint, Salesforce, and other digital tools.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Culturally sensitive and adaptable to diverse working environments.
