About the position

The Learning and Organization Development Specialist is responsible for creating, delivering, and evaluating leadership development and learning solutions at Denver Health. This role collaborates with HR and OD teams to provide strategic development opportunities that enhance leader competencies, thereby improving individual, departmental, and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develops curriculum and courses based on business needs.
  • Transforms complex ideas into innovative learning solutions using modern methodologies and technologies.
  • Partners with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create effective learning solutions.
  • Aligns course needs with leadership competencies and updates curricula accordingly.
  • Designs and delivers various training programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analyzes requirements and consults with experts to develop relevant curriculum.
  • Reviews and modifies existing learning programs, recommending changes as needed.
  • Delivers instructor-led training sessions in both classroom and virtual settings.
  • Facilitates group dynamics and utilizes organizational culture insights in training.
  • Applies adult learning principles in teaching across various formats.
  • Utilizes technology effectively in teaching diverse audiences.
  • Onboards and coaches leaders and partners in conducting learning sessions.
  • Coaches individual leaders and teams, conducting team-building exercises.
  • Researches impactful learning technologies for solution delivery.
  • Identifies performance gaps and determines appropriate learning solutions.
  • Consults with management and employees to understand training needs and changes.
  • Documents course development processes using project management applications.
  • Communicates learning metrics to management to drive organizational change.
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of learning solutions against business objectives.
  • Enhances the efficiency of learning operations and instructional design methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Three years of experience in adult training, learning and development, or curriculum design and instruction required.
  • Experience designing learning solutions using instructional design methodologies required.
  • Familiarity with blended learning technologies preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic understanding of OD theories and practices.
  • Knowledge of instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, and ARCS.
  • Familiarity with evaluation methodologies like Kirkpatrick's evaluation model.
